Abedeen Academy (Abedeen) is a private international school in Malaysia that consists of three different schools which are Abedeen International School, Abedeen Primary School and Abedeen Secondary School. In modern globalisation, it is a phenomenon that the world has “logistically” become smaller. Talents are recognised in areas which were merely non-existent in the past, and subject matter experts are required in any parts of the world. As far as job requirements are fulfilled, with people mobilisation, anyone can fill in vacancies anywhere regardless their citizenships, nationalities, races etc. Hence, to remain competitive, one must be equipped with both technical and soft skills.

In Abedeen, one of our aspirations is to develop future World Leaders, who are not only academically sound but also personally self confident, intercultural ready, interpersonally competitive, mentally creative, socially influential and equipped with empathy, sympathy guided by strong Islamic values. Besides focusing on academic excellence, our programs are tailored to enhance student’s individual talents in the areas they are strong at.

Another major contributing factor towards achieving these objectives is, despite its 3 years of establishment, Abedeen has been a home for more than 20 nationalities of its students and staff. By nature, good schoolmates are naturally the closest friends. Imagine these students grow up together and become leaders of their own countries. We really love the school environment. It is not just academic. She has fun with lots of physical activities. It is a very comfortable environment for her to be in. Especially when she comes from an English speaking background so it is a bit comfortable for her to mix around with the kids here. It is small, very intimate, but we like it. But most importantly we have seen a lot of progress in her recitation of Surahs, her understanding of Islamic values and practices. We would really recommend parents out there who are looking for an Islamic base education that encompass of both government and international syllabus. So it is a good mixture of both with a strong emphasis of Islamic studies.
