Abedeen Primary School adopts the Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR) endorsed by the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE). This curriculum focuses on Communication, Physical and Aesthetic Development, Humanitarianism, Personal Development, Science and Technology Literacy, and Spirituality, Attitude and Values; designed to develop critical thinking, creative and innovative students.
Phase 1 (Year 1 to Year 3) of primary schooling emphasizes on mastering the basic 4M, basic ICT knowledge, and socio emotional, spiritual, physical, cognitive, attitude and values development. Phase 2 (Year 4 to Year 6) strengthens the skills acquired in Phase 1 through application.
Abedeen Primary School is offered for students from the age of 7 – 12 years old where they complete their primary education from Year 1 to Year 6. In primary school, students will sit for a national examination under the Malaysian Examination Board (MEB) called Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) at the age of 12 years old in Year 6. This examination cannot be sat for any earlier or later than 12 years old.
